I Need To Review My Medicare

Annual Election Period (AEP)

When you’re new to Medicare you make your selections during your Initial Enrollment Period and then you review some of those selections every year after that during the “Annual Election Period or “AEP.” If you selected a Medicare Supplement, then that plan typically stays with you indefinitely and people don’t often make changes to it once it’s in place. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, then you’ll definitely want to review those during this time just to make sure that it is still the plan that is the best fit for you since plan designs can change from year to year. The Annual Election Period takes place every year from October 15th to December 7th and times do fill up pretty quickly so it’s a good idea to call ahead and schedule your time to review.
